What is a Home ICU setup?

Critical-care equipment and trained nursing, set up around the patient at home.

A Home ICU setup brings the monitoring, breathing support, nursing and visits a patient needs into their own room - when the treating doctor agrees home is the right place. Diagnex plans the setup, delivers and installs the equipment, arranges the care team and coordinates every next step.

  • Continue care at home after a hospital stay, when the doctor agrees
  • Bring monitoring, breathing support and trained nursing to the bedside
  • Be scaled up or down as needs change

It is not

  • Automatically the same as a hospital ICU

Questions families ask

Why do you show only 15-day and 30-day rates?

Most Home ICU setups run for at least two weeks. Showing 15-day and 30-day rates keeps planning simple. For a shorter or longer plan, ask for a quotation.

Is the estimate the final price?

No. It's based on the items you choose. Your quotation confirms GST, delivery and set-up, any deposit, and prices for anything you want to buy.

Why are purchase prices not shown?

Prices for equipment and supplies to buy depend on model and availability, so we share them in your quotation.

Do I need a prescription?

Some equipment, such as oxygen and breathing support, needs a doctor's prescription. Ventilators and infusion pumps are arranged only after a clinical assessment. Each item is marked.

The patient is still in hospital. When should we contact you?

As soon as discharge is being discussed. It gives time to review the setup and schedule delivery before the patient comes home.
